We are at Futuro Remoto 2024!
October 18, 2024PRIN 2022: QUANTAMI project
November 14, 2024On November 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, CNR-INO participated in the Comics&Science Palace in Lucca, bringing a mix of science, outreach, and entertainment.
On November 1st, Andrea Macchi captivated the audience with his presentation “Nuclear Fusion: top, flop, …o pop?” with a touch of magic that made the event even more engaging.
November 2nd saw the friendly yet spirited CNR derby: a lively contest between CNR-INO and CNR-IFN (Institute of Photonics and Nanotechnologies) titled “Photonics VS Optics.” The event featured the participation of CNR-INO Director Francesco Saverio Cataliotti and provided moments of fierce competition and team spirit. Victorious and more united than ever, the INO team then witnessed Alessandro Zenesini’s talk on “False Vacuum and Bubbles: The Beginning and End of the Universe,” which fascinated and inspired the audience.
On the morning of November 3rd, fueled by breakfasts kindly offered by Comics&Science and an energized audience, a lively presentation on the “World of Quanta” was given. Prepared by Alessio Recati, who unfortunately could not attend at the last minute, the presentation nonetheless captivated those present.
The CNR-INO team is already looking forward to the next edition, and in the meantime, don’t miss out on reading Comics&Science comics to continue exploring the fun side of science!
