From 9 to 14 May 2027, Pisa will become a meeting point for researchers, engineers and innovators working at the forefront of plasma science and technology. The 7th European Conference on Plasma Diagnostics (ECPD 2027) will take place at the Auditorium of the CNR Research Area in Pisa, hosted and organised by the Intense Laser Irradiation Laboratory (ILIL) team of CNR-INO.

ECPD is a well-established biennial conference dedicated to the development and application of plasma diagnostics. Over the years, it has grown into a reference event for the European and international plasma physics community, bringing together experts from different disciplines to discuss advanced diagnostic techniques, emerging technologies and new experimental approaches.

One of the distinctive features of ECPD is its interdisciplinary nature. The conference promotes dialogue among researchers working in:

• Magnetic confinement fusion;
• Beam plasmas and inertial confinement fusion;
• Low-temperature and industrial plasmas;
• Space and astrophysical plasmas.
