Workshop | Quantum Technologies for High-Performance Computing , 1st & 4th August
July 10, 2025From July 28 to August 08, 2025, will be held the Summer School on Many-Boby Correlactions in Quantum technologies.
The Summer School is organized by CNR-INO with the collaboration of Sardinia Research Center, which held the event in Pula (Sardinia, Italy) from 28 July to 8 August 2025.
The Summer School is tailored for PhD students and early-career researchers eager to explore the frontiers of quantum technologies through lectures, hands-on workshops, and collaborative projects.
In these days, speakers and tutors from international University and Research Institutions, will make lectures and training. Below the speakers and tutors who will take turns during the days of the Summer School: Paola Cappellaro (MIT, USA), Ilaria Maccari (ETH Zurich, Swiss), Paolo Solinas (Università di Genova, Italy), Germán Sierra (CSIC-UAM, Spain), Augusto Smerzi (CNR-INO, Italy) e Andrea Trombettoni (Università di Trieste, Italy), Laura Batini (ETH Zurich, Swiss) e Andrea Solfanelli (MPI-PKS Dresden, Germany).
The program will be organized on Morning lectures and Afternoon Session training on Many-body spin system, Monte Carlo methods, Tensor Networks, Unveling Entaglement, HPC Workshop on high performance simulations and other quantum topics.
It will be a good training and educational opportunity, but also a chance to create new scientific collaborations.
Summer School is part of the QLR-Net project, Quantum Long-Range Networks, a research project funded by a Starting Grant from the ERC – European Research Council. (GA 101077500, Call ERC-2022-STG). Led by Dr Nicolò Defenu, (CNR INO, Trieste) the project focuses on developing and understanding the fundamental principles of long-range quantum networks. These networks aim to harness quantum mechanics to enable novel forms of communication and computation that go beyond the capabilities of classical networks.
