Dall’elettronica all’atomtronica: nuove prospettive per le tecnologie quantistiche
January 7, 2026The celebrations for the 25th anniversary of the Pisa Research Area concluded on December 10th, attended by CNR leaders and the directors of all its institutes.
It was December 2000 when, on Via G. Moruzzi, then-CNR President Lucio Bianco and President of the Republic Carlo Azeglio Ciampi inaugurated what would become the largest and most complex technology and research hub in the country. Its 13 institutes cover a wide range of research fields and sectors, from artificial intelligence to computational linguistics, from theoretical physics to robotics, from biomedicine to environmental sciences.
The aim was to bring the institutes together on a single “campus” that would foster both professional and social interaction, with the aim of creating a dynamic community open to multidisciplinary exchanges, including with other academic institutions.
This important milestone was an opportunity to tell a story of excellence, rooted in the past but projected toward the future, built thanks to the commitment of researchers, technicians, and staff who, day after day, transform science into a driver of development, innovation, and collaboration with the local community.
CNR-INO Director Paolo De Natale was also present at the meeting, which took place at Palazzo dei Cavalieri.
