Quantum Physics Becomes a Game: the Contribution of CNR-INO Researchers
August 26, 2025The Summer School on Many-Body Correlations in Quantum Technologies, held from July 28 to August 8, 2025, at the Sardegna Research centre (Pula) and organized by the CNR National Institute of Optics (CNR INO), has concluded successfully.
The event brought together PhD students and young researchers from various countries, engaged in an intensive training program combining theoretical lessons, practical activities, and collaborative projects. The topics covered ranged from many-body spin systems, Monte Carlo methods for strongly correlated systems, tensor networks, quantum entanglement, to variational quantum algorithms. The lecturers, coming from renowned international institutions such as MIT, ETH Zurich, and the University of Genoa, provided a high-quality education highly appreciated by the students for both the depth of the lectures and the engagement during activities.
The Summer School is part of the QLR-Net Quantum Long-Range Networks project, a research initiative funded by an ERC Starting Grant (GA 101077500, Call ERC-2022-STG) and led by Dr. Nicolò Defenu. The project focuses on the development and understanding of the fundamental principles of long-range quantum networks, aiming to leverage quantum mechanics to innovate communication and computation methods, surpassing the limits of classical networks.
The Summer School on Many-Body Correlations in Quantum Technologies thus confirms itself as an important occasion for updates and networking in the field of quantum technologies, contributing to the training of new generations of researchers in a cutting-edge sector.
