November 24, 2022The SPHERES Team of CNR-INO welcomes back COLD2 instrument.
COLD2, our laser-based carbon monoxide analyzer for stratospheric platforms, is back home after the field campaign of the ACCLIP Project. The instrument was shipped to Houston TX, was deployed in 27 test and scientific flights in US, South Korea and above the western Pacific Ocean, then was shipped back to Italy.
We are very proud to say that COLD2 provided full data for all the flights, and came back home, fully operational, without ANY maintenance! No re-alignment, no consumables, no damages, just working!
Data analysis is in progress, we diffused our preliminary results in the Science Team Meeting of ACCLIP in Boulder CO, Nov. 14-17, 2022.
