January 19, 2024On 15 and 16 January 2023, one year after the start of the activities of the National Quantum Science and Technology Institute (NQSTI), the first National Congress will take place in Rome, at the CNR headquarters and the premises of La Sapienza. This will be a first, important opportunity both to present the scientific results obtained in the first year of the Partnership and to highlight the initiatives undertaken for training aimed at high schools, dissemination and outreach on quantitative sciences and technologies, as well as programs for the transfer of quantitative technologies to the business world.
NQSTI is the partnership financed under the PNRR within the framework of the European Union Next generation EU. Among its objectives is to unite Italian bodies that carry out competitive and innovative research in Quantum Sciences and Technologies (QST) and stimulate future industrial innovation in this field. Against funding of 116 million euros over three years from the Ministry of University and Research MUR, NQSTI has allocated 23 million euros this year to tenders aimed at the world of research and business to strengthen the presence of QSTs in other institutions and thus recruit new members.
