Abstract: We experimentally demonstrate that a suitable opto-electronic feedback perturbation may efficiently control multistability related nonlinear phenomena (\”bursting\” or crisis-induced intermittency) in a modulated CO2 laser, even in presence of noise (stochastic multistability). We believe these investigations are relevant for their implications in neural networks, coding and telecommunication purposes.
