Primary activity: In our group, we are focused on using Nitrogen-Vacancy (NV) centers in diamond as quantum systems to study their properties and potential applications. We study quantum correlations and interactions between a spin qubit and its environment. Our goal is to study irreversibility and out-of-equilibrium dynamics, quantum sensing and quantum
thermodynamics.
We are mainly focused on the use of NV centers as quantum sensors, in order to perform noise spectroscopy, as well as to use optimal control algorithms to enhance the sensitivity to AC magnetic fields.Main experiences acquired: Experimental quantum optics and microscopy, solid-state spin physics, ultracold atoms, quantum sensing, quantum information, quantum thermodynamics, quantum controlResearch Groups: Quantum diamond nanoengineeringPublications, Research Results, now, in INO’s database are: 6 – Papers JCR/ISI Journals, are: 6 – Books or Chapters, are: 0 – Papers in Journals not indexed JCR/ISI, are: 0 – Conference proceedings, are: 1 – Abstract, are: 0Bibliometric indices are calculated USING ONLY THE INO DATABASE and the number of citations from “WEB OF SCIENCE” (of Thomson Reuters) is updated at 2025-02-09 – maximum number of citations for an article: 32 – maximum impact factor (IF) for a journal when an article is published: 6.600 – H-INDEX: 4 G-INDEX: 6 HC-INDEX (contemporary): 4 – List of TopTen papers in citations – List of TopTen journals in Impact Factor
