Primary activity: experimental physics with focus on basic research of dilute quantum gases of fermions, specifically a) Fermi-Fermi mixture of Li6-Cr53 in the strongly interacting regime to investigate BEC-BCS crossover with mass imbalance, strongly repulsive (Stoner) Ferromagnetism, RF spectroscopy in the impurity (Polaron) limit, p-wave pairing and stable exotic (non-Evimovian) trimer and tetramer states. b) Generation of ground-state Li6-Cr53 paramagnetic molecules. c) development of the first quantum computer in Italy (HPC). d) development of new technologies (digital & analogue electronics, RF, FPGA based control systems, software & hardware).Main experiences acquired: Basic experimental research on degenerate fermions (Li6, Cr53 and K40) and bosons (Cr52, K39), and Fermi-Fermi mixtures (Li6-K40 and Li6-Cr53). Design, setting up and development of new technologies for such experiments: analogue/digital/RF/low-noise electronics, FPGA hardware and software development, ultrahigh-vaccum systems, laser technologies, frequency doubling, optics, imaging technologies, measurement and analysis, control systems hardware and software, programming (C/C++, Java, Python, Verilog, Assembler, device-driver for Windows & Linux), Mathematica, Monte-Carlo simulation.Research Groups: Fermi-Fermi mixturesOthers Funded Projects in which he/she participates: New generation of high sensitivity atom interferometersSuperfluid and normal phases of unequal mass fermions with two- and three-body resonant interactionsPublications, Research Results, now, in INO’s database are: 16 – Papers JCR/ISI Journals, are: 16 – Books or Chapters, are: 0 – Papers in Journals not indexed JCR/ISI, are: 0 – Conference proceedings, are: 1 – Abstract, are: 0Bibliometric indices are calculated USING ONLY THE INO DATABASE and the number of citations from “WEB OF SCIENCE” (of Thomson Reuters) is updated at 2024-12-01 – maximum number of citations for an article: 384 – maximum impact factor (IF) for a journal when an article is published: 38.597 – H-INDEX: 12 G-INDEX: 16 HC-INDEX (contemporary): 12 – List of TopTen papers in citations – List of TopTen journals in Impact Factor
