Primary activity: Research activity in the frame of several projects funded either by ASI (the Italian Space Agency) or ESA (the European Space Agency). The projects deal with the development and the advancement of models for both the simulation and the inversion of atmospheric spectral radiances to infer atmospheric and cloud parameters.
Main experiences acquired: – Spectroscopy of the atmosphere using Fourier Transform Spectrometry
– Radiative transfer in inhomogeneous atmospheres
– Retrieval of atmospheric surface and cloud parameters from remote sensing spectral radiance measurements
