An article summarising the INO reasearch activity performed at the Antarctic Station of Concordia at Dome C was published on the Bulletin of the American Meteorological Society and obtained the cover image of the September issue.
The article presents an unique dataset of spectral measurements of the downwelling atmospheric thermal emission, which covers for the first time the longwave region of the far infrared with systematic acquisitions taken almost continuously for many years.
The measurements taken under different atmospheric conditions and for many years, can improve greatly our knowledge of the radiative properties of water vapor and clouds, and therefore the accuracy of climate models.
