Finally the European lab Columbus is taking its way towards the International Space Station, carrying FSL (Fluid Science Laboratory), a complicated electro-optic system whose optical tests and checkouts have been carried out by Vojko Bratina e Alessandro Zuccaro Marchi, from “Optics for Space Applications” INOA group (under contract with Thales-AleniaSpace). Liftoff, originally scheduled for Dec 6th, is now foreseen for Jan 2nd, due to problems on the Shuttle.
