Workshop on “Quantum Technologies 4 Space”
November 24, 2025The CNR National Institute of Optics will be represented today at the second edition of the “Scientists in Parliament” conference, an initiative promoted by Senator Marco Trevisi of the Finance Committee, during a speech by Professor Giada Genchi, researcher at the Department of Biosciences, Biotechnology and Environment at the University of Bari.
The event can be followed livestreamed starting at 3:00 PM on the Senate channel at this link.
In her presentation, Professor Genchi will illustrate the importance of biofabrication in regenerative medicine, also mentioning the ongoing collaboration with the CNR INO, developed within the I-PHOQS “Tissue Engineering and Biosensing” research program coordinated by task leader Dr. Caterina Credi.
The joint activity focuses on the light-based microstructuring of photoresponsive living materials for the engineering of advanced tissue models: a research line that synergistically combines biophotonics and bioengineering, demonstrating their applicability in diagnostic systems and health technologies.
Participation in the conference, which involves representatives of institutions, researchers, independent scholars, and associations, represents a significant opportunity to enhance the dialogue between science and policy, and to highlight the role of biophotonics and bioengineering in key issues for the future of the country.
