October 14, 2025CNR INO will present its research excellence at the conference “Infrastructure Networks as Drivers of Innovation: The Case of I-PHOQS, the Largest Italian Infrastructure for Photonics and Quantum Sciences and Technologies,” held on October 7, 2025, at the Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei.
Large infrastructure networks play a vital role in maintaining and concentrating highly specialized skills and personnel, becoming true drivers of scientific progress and innovation through their role as catalysts for ideas and people. The CNR INO contributes to the development of cutting-edge research and new technologies within the I-PHOQS JRU (Integrated Infrastructure Initiative for Photonics and Quantum Science), which aims to establish a national reference point by bringing together the main facilities of eight Italian cities (Padua, Milan, Florence, Pisa, Lecce, Cosenza, Messina, and Catania) in a distributed network.
The JRU now offers full access to infrastructures covering the main fields of quantum science and photonics applications, from fusion energy to biomedical diagnostics, from green environmental technologies to agritech.
