Preserving the Fragrance of Tradition: CNR and the Modica Chocolate Consortium Join Forces
October 13, 2025On September 24 and 25, 2025, Q2B Paris was held, one of the most important events in the field of quantum technologies.
CNR was present and participated with NQSTI, the National Quantum Science and Technology Institute consortium, in which CNR INO leads Spokes 3 “Atom-based “ and 8 “Technology Transfer”.
Within NQSTI, CNR INO coordinates several key initiatives, including the cascading grants, which are a fundamental instrument to facilitate the connection between scientific research, industrial development, and social impact.
During Q2B Paris, Photon Technology Italy SRL, a company involved in the projects of Spoke 8 and beneficiary of the cascading grants, was represented by its Technical Sales Engineer, Dr. Riccardo M. Ienco, who presented advancements in superconducting nanowire single-photon detectors (SNSPDs), strategic devices for emerging applications in the quantum field. Photon Technology’s experience, rooted in Southern Italy, concretely demonstrates this synergy between scientific excellence and local development.
The cascading grants within NQSTI play a crucial role in promoting collaboration among research institutions, innovative companies, and society, facilitating technology transfer and contributing to social progress through cutting-edge technological solutions.
