February 6, 2024The Enlighting Mind exhibition has included a new work of art within its collection. Stella Battaglia is a sculptor and focuses on the figurative arts. on the theme of perspective and anamorphosis and deepens the study of optical distortions in sculpture. The reflection on the relationship between vision and object, between the two dimensions of the image and the three dimensions of the sculpture, leads her to the creation of works made in different materials up to video installations.
The work is part of the concept of the Enlighting Mind project which develops new expressive languages for science through hybrid experiences between multiple disciplines, including art. The CNR National Institute of Optics is a project partner together with the Department of Physics and Astronomy and Neurofarba of the University of Florence, Città della Scienza of Naples and Isasi Cnr.
