CNR-INO organises a free Online Training on Wireless communication through light: a pervasive opportunity for a smart society.
The training will be held on December 13th, 2022 by our Senior Researcher dr. Jacopo Catani.
He will give an overview on basic concepts of optical wireless communication (OWC) technology, focusing on application exploiting ordinary LED sources for simultaneous transmission of data and illumination (VLC). He will describe the building bocks in VLC technology, as well as a discussion on recent achievements in different application scenarios, ranging from Intelligent Transportation systems (ITS) to indoor applications. The final part of the talk will introduce the possibility to use novel fluorescent materials for integration in a new generation of large-area optical antennas.
