Abstract: We measured the expansion coefficient of glass-fibre reinforced nylon as a function of temperature between 4.2 and 300 K. The linear thermal expansion is about half that of unfilled nylon throughout the temperatures investigated. The thermal conductivity in the 0.2-5 K temperature range is very close to that of unfilled nylon and can be represented by the fit curve k = 2.42×10-5 T1.77.
