Abstract: We present an experimental study of molecular reorientation of nematic liquid crystal director axes induced by a CO, cw laser beam. By observation of the Freederickz Transition Effect, the elastic constants are determined. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
