Express, 19, 25, 25057-25065, 2011), has appeared in the News and Views of Nature Photonics (Vol. 6, Feb. 2012). <br \/>\nThe original paper describes an acoustic pickup based on an FBG fiber optic resonator. A DFB laser is locked to the cavity using the Pound-Drever-Hall technique. The optical pickup is embedded into the musical instrument body.
