An ideal amplifier has been realized that is able to increase the intensity of weak light pulses without introducing any additional noise.
The “quantum hi-fi amplifier” realized by INO-CNR has the highest gain and lowest distortions to date: it will be useful for secure quantum communication networks and to get closer to the realization of a quantum computer.<\/p>\n
