Specifically, the Muon g-2 experiment at FermiLab has provided a value of the magnetic anomaly with a precision of 127 parts per billion. The Italian team, which includes three researchers from CNR-INO in Pisa (Carlo Ferrari, Andrea Fioretti, and Carlo Gabbanini), has made an important contribution to the experimental setup by developing a cutting-edge laser calibration system for the sensors.

https://breakthroughprize.org/News/98

The 2026 Breakthrough Prize for Fundamental Physics, also known as the “Oscar of Science,” has been awarded to three experiments that have measured the muon magnetic […]

[131,186,33
1452,1458,1448,1456,1460,1454,1465
post-26927","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-banner","category-homepage","category-researchfocus","tag-1452","tag-andrea-fioretti","tag-breakthrough-prize","tag-carlo-ferrari","tag-carlo-gabbanini","tag-muon-g-2","tag-oscar-of-science
["GET
