With <em data-start=\"563\" data-end=\"573\">\u201cQuanto\u201d<\/em>, Chiara Menotti provides a virtuous example of how scientific research\u2014particularly in the field of quantum physics\u2014can enter everyday life through playful, intuitive, and inclusive tools.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"766\" data-end=\"1279\">Among the protagonists of this special issue of the <em data-start=\"818\" data-end=\"843\">Almanacco della Scienza<\/em> dedicated to scientific games are Chiara Menotti and Alessio Recati, researchers at the CNR\u2019s National Institute of Optics, who explain the potential of <em data-start=\"997\" data-end=\"1007\">\u201cQuanto\u201d<\/em> as a playful tool to \u201cabsorb concepts of quantum mechanics in an intuitive and enjoyable way.\u201d Their contribution to the CNR\u2019s <em data-start=\"1135\" data-end=\"1146\">Almanacco<\/em> enriches the landscape of science communication, making it accessible even to those approaching complex topics for the first time.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1281\" data-end=\"1620\">The idea at the heart of the project is both simple and powerful: to transform complex concepts such as state superposition, wave function collapse, and probabilistic entities into an accessible gaming experience that sparks curiosity and fosters intuitive understanding of one of the most fascinating and mysterious theories in physics.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1622\" data-end=\"2058\"><em data-start=\"1622\" data-end=\"1632\">\u201cQuanto\u201d<\/em> is a serious game developed within the project <em data-start=\"1680\" data-end=\"1699\">\u201c<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.changegame.cnr.it\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Change the Game,<\/a><\/strong>\u201d<\/em>\u00a0designed to bring players closer to the basic concepts of quantum mechanics. The game simulates quantum operations on two qubits, also integrating special actions such as measurement, noise, and error correction. Participants can gradually and intuitively learn fundamental notions of quantum physics and try their hand at solving simple quantum circuits.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2060\" data-end=\"2365\">But the goal is not only educational.
