{"id":25929,"date":"2025-07-10T08:18:53","date_gmt":"2025-07-10T06:18:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ino.cnr.it\/?p=25929"},"modified":"2025-07-10T11:26:54","modified_gmt":"2025-07-10T09:26:54","slug":"photonhub-demo-centre-an-opportunity-for-companies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ino.cnr.it\/?p=25929","title":{"rendered":"PhotonHub Demo Centre: an opportunity for companies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Frontier trace gas sensors addressing industrial challenges for environment, health, safety and security is a new <strong>Demo Centre organised by CNR-INO<\/strong> on September 8, as part of the PhotonHub Europe project.<br \/>\nGas monitoring (industrial, medical, and environmental) requires sensitive, fast, and reliable measurement systems, and optical technologies can provide different effective solutions, targeted on specific applications.<br \/>\nOur Demo Centre offers training on different state of the art spectroscopic techniques for trace gas sensing, combining interactive tutorials with hands-on experiences.<\/p>\n<p>The course will be divided into four sessions:<br \/>\n\u2013 Introductory tutorial on <strong>basic principles of spectroscopy<\/strong> and key-interest applications.<br \/>\n\u2013 Interactive tutorial and <strong>practical laboratory demonstration<\/strong> on the principles of operation of photoacoustic sensors and their applications (Demo 1).<br \/>\n\u2013 <strong>Interactive laboratory<\/strong> experience on absorption spectroscopy for monitoring and safety. It will be combined with a practical hands-on demonstration for measuring CO, CO2 and CH4 in air or breath (Demo 2).<br \/>\n\u2013 Interactive tutorial and <strong>hands-on training<\/strong> on the Saturated-absorption Cavity Ring-down (SCAR) 14C analyser, and its applications for industrial purposes (Demo 3).<\/p>\n<p>The course targets a broad audience with an eye on companies <strong>potentially interested in the exploitation of spectroscopic gas sensing solutions<\/strong> for industrial applications in different fields, such as health diagnostics, environmental monitoring and security surveillance. A background in spectroscopic methods is not essential, although it might be advantageous.<br \/>\nIn the morning, the course will be held at the CNR-INO laboratories in Florence while the afternoon will be spent at Sesto Fiorentino laboratories. The transfer is included in the service.<br \/>\nThe registration fee is \u20ac 200, <strong>reduced to \u20ac 150 for early bird registrations until the 8th of August 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Deadline for registration:<\/strong> August 28, 2025<\/p>\n<p><strong>Locations:<\/strong><br \/>\nLargo E.
