High-order harmonic generation from a linear chain of ions

Abstract: The high-order harmonic generation process due to the interaction of a multi-well quantum system with an intense laser field is examined. A plateau extension up to a photon energy of I-p + 8U(p) and the generation of attosecond pulses are demonstrated.
