High power solid state slab laser with optimized diode pumping design

Abstract: We report on the optimization of a side pumping scheme for diode pumped high power slab Nd:YAG lasers.
Experiments on a 350 W laser with ceramic active medium confirm the numerical results obtained by ray-tracing.
