Abstract: Surface Plasmon Resonance based sensors are a key tool for Bio-Chemical investigations. The interrogation and readout method of these sensors represent the ultimate limiting factor for the detection of small molecules at low concentrations. We propose two new improved resolution approaches based on the integration of the sensing unit in an optical resonator.
